Mother’s Day Package Now Available

April 15th, 2018 by castlecreek

I’m so excited to announce our Mother’s Day package! It will go on sale beginning Monday.

Treat your dearest loved one, the woman who made you who you are today, to an unforgettable experience here at the Castle! Upon arrival, she’ll be shown to her overnight guest room and greeted with a warm, soothing tea or hot chocolate of her choice, and a half-dozen homemade chocolate-covered strawberries accompanied by a long-stem rose either in a vase or laid next to the tea tray–your choice!

She’ll enjoy that universally-coveted jetted bubble bath with our Deluxe Bath Set, then it’s dinner, and the dessert of her choice.

Though I personally prefer the gift of a solo night away for Mom, there will be an option to add a guest. You can’t go wrong with some romance or maybe even a girls’ night out.

Watch for the coming announcement with pricing and a link to purchase the Mother’s Day package online! I can’t wait for all of our sweet moms to enjoy the royal Castle treatment they so deserve!

A Wonderful Retreat! Thank you!

April 13th, 2018 by castlecreek

I think this was the most anxious and excited I’ve ever been for an event here at the Castle. About an hour before it started I just started taking pictures to calm my nerves. We covered such meaningful, raw, and sensitive topics and I wanted it to be just perfect and comfortable for all the incredible women who came! It was an amazing night with strong, inspiring women, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it. I can’t thank our wonderful attendees enough. You’re family now. 🌹 I’m so looking forward to the next one!💖

The Castle Dungeon

April 13th, 2018 by castlecreek

Happy Friday the 13th! A lot of guests ask or joke about a dungeon here at the Castle. What we’ve never told you before is that there is, in fact, a dungeon in the Castle. I don’t want to give you too much of a fright, so here’s a tiny glimpse inside!👻

AMAZING NEWS!

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

I have THE BEST NEWS for our 2-day countdown to the Women’s Support Retreat. Ladies, you might wanna sit down for this one!

I just spoke to the owner. Because this event deals with something so personal and emotional, she wants to thank those who are coming to share their stories and support the other women in attendance. The best way she felt she could do this is to enter all the names of our attendees in a drawing for A FREE NIGHT AT THE CASTLE!

Yes, you read that right. Every one of your names is immediately being entered.

If you’ve been on the fence about coming, hopefully this will influence your decision. We would love to see you tomorrow night, and there are a handful of tickets still available. If you’ve already purchased your ticket, you’re already in the drawing!

The best part is, she’s going to draw the name tomorrow morning and come to the event to PERSONALLY announce the winner. She’s very excited to meet you gals!

Make sure to get your ticket by tonight. She’ll be drawing the name early tomorrow to prepare the winner’s Gift Certificate. A link to purchase tickets is included in the event. You can also call if that’s easier for you (801)567-9437.

*Please note, you must attend the event to win. The winner will be announced only at the event, and not publicly.*

Can’t wait to see you!💖

3 Days!

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

We’re 3 days away from the Women’s Support Retreat! I hope you’re as excited as I am for this awesome group of women to meet and have a raw discussion about the pain of pregnancy loss and infertility. It’s going to be wonderful! Let me know if you need assistance getting your tickets! There are still a handful left. 😘

Remember, if you have food allergies, please let us know at least 24 hours before the event begins (so by 6pm tomorrow evening).

Support Flowers

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

Here’s an example of the beautiful material flowers that come in the infertility and miscarriage packages. Their symbolism will be discussed at the Event on Tuesday. These I photographed in my own home so please ignore the stray dog hairs. I didn’t notice them until I’d left the house!

Please note the amazing Ninja Turtles flower, a great example of how they’re custom made for each couple. Heidi knew they are my favorite superheroes and got this material special for my bouquet.

I can’t wait to show you in real life on Tuesday! I’m so excited, guys, truly! See you all then!

Cherries, or no cherries?

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

A cute couple last night asked for a banana split but without the strawberry topping or cherries. As a lover of cherries, I was sad at first, but I think it turned out beautiful with just the chocolate and caramel, and hopefully as delicious as it looked! What do you guys think? Does strawberry topping add or distract? Do you like a cherry on top? 😍

Of Lemon Squares and Heaven

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

Oh man! I need to stop working on the nights the staff makes these glorious lemon squares. They’re going to be the death of me. Or at least the reason I can’t fall asleep tonight!😍

5-Day Countdown!

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

Today begins the 5-day countdown to the wonderful Women’s Support Retreat! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday we announced the date! In order to get everybody excited, I’ll be posting a few details each day until Tuesday.

First off, we do still have a few spots available, so get your tickets if you’re wanting to come. You can either call (801)567-9437 or order them online at: https://resnexus.com/…/Reserva…/Lodging/RetailAndSpecials/5…

INTRODUCING OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

The retreat will be run by two of the most amazing, powerful women I’ve personally had the pleasure of associating with. Their names are Emily and Heidi, whom you glimpsed in a past post. Without disclosing too much (I have to save some for the rest of the countdown!), let me tell you a bit about these rock stars.

Emily:
Born and raised right here in the Salt Lake Valley, Emily is outdoorsy and adventurous. If I’m still around for the apocalypse, I definitely want to be in her camp, which I can guarantee she’ll be running safely and efficiently. She’s as fierce and strong-willed inside as she is outside.

Emily has suffered loss with four of her eight pregnancies. Two of those losses were stillbirths. I was able to attend both funerals and I can tell you this spiritual giant of a woman has learned the hard way to make building blocks out of tragedy and excruciating pain. She is fighting the good fight, teaching her children how to brave the storms of life and, not only survive, but thrive!

A successful professional woman, Emily somehow manages to balance family, work, and outreach wherein she blesses the lives of countless women by offering emotional and communal support. Don’t expect her support to come wrapped neatly in a box with a ribbon and bow. She will not sugarcoat anything. She knows that what a woman suffering loss needs is raw, unadulterated, naked truth. She acknowledges the pain of miscarriage and stillbirth with the words many of us only utter in prayer, or while crying alone, and will discuss with us the uphill battle that is survival and recovery.

Emily is great at transforming feelings into words. You will likely experience relief and entertainment simultaneously when you interact with her. She is real and loving and charitable and empathetic and beautiful, and your own beauty and determination will be strengthened by welcoming her into your life. She is an excellent person to have in your corner.

Heidi:
After suffering miscarriage, Heidi immediately knew she needed to reach out to others who were suffering pregnancy loss. She didn’t skip a beat in establishing her nonprofit, Footprints in My Heart, and creating care packages that she personally delivers to couples she either knows herself or hears about from family and friends. Her ability to mourn with those who mourn is stunning. Hers is the purest love.

Heidi is well-traveled and fluent in French. She understands various cultures and ways of viewing the world. She knows not everyone processes pain and loss the same way. She is an expert in finding many ways to succor those who cross her path. I guarantee you will feel welcome, comfortable, and at home in her presence no matter your background or current situation, as I always have.

At the retreat, Heidi will present many ways in which you can become involved in the nonprofit. She makes these beautiful material flower bouquets and other gifts for both the mother and father. There can never be too many hands helping with these awesome projects! She also has a care package for those suffering from infertility. There are many ways you can contribute your efforts to the cause.

First and foremost, Heidi wants to help YOU! If you would like to receive one of these care packages at the retreat, whether for pregnancy loss, infertility, or infant loss, please get in touch with us so we can get them ready for you. As always, these packages come free of charge. They are created from the goodness of this incredible woman’s heart.

I’ll post more about Emily and Heidi as we get closer to the event. I’ve included the event schedule below. Please take a look and let me know if there are any questions!

Thor or Loki?

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

Sometimes I help set the lights in the guest rooms. When I do, I can’t help but take pictures because everything is just so peaceful and lovely.

Today, I even set one of the TV’s (pictured below), which is unusual, but I’m getting pretty good at it. To test the Plex system, I turned on Thor: Ragnarok and watched a couple minutes to make sure everything is running smoothly.

That reminded me of a little debate that took place among the ladies of the Castle staff. We never did come to a conclusion, so maybe you can help us settle it.

Who is the true Asgardian beauty? Thor or Loki? I’ll be honest, my vote, though a close call, ultimately went to Loki.

The Beautiful Veranda

April 9th, 2018 by castlecreek

This is the perfect time of year to talk about our beautiful Veranda. With wedding ceremonies, receptions, renewing of vows, birthday parties, and family reunions, we’re renting this baby out faster than we may be able to keep up with.

There are still a few finishing touches to be made, but it is fully functional and available for rent if you have a special occasion coming up this Spring, Summer, or Fall.

Did you know the entire Castle is available for rent as well? This rental includes our ten guest rooms, the dining room, front patio, backyard Veranda, and entire parking lot for your group.

One of the most common questions I receive is pricing for these entire-facility rentals. Multiple night rentals are crazy popular for couples with family flying in from out-of-town for their wedding. We do a lot of rehearsal dinner + ceremony + reception + wedding breakfast rentals. Lots of couples even stay through their honeymoon!

Though pricing varies for each group (those who use our caterers and additional services end up spending more than these prices) these are our typical rental prices:

Weekend: Friday & Saturday $2,999.00
Weekday: Monday-Thursday $2,499.00
*Additional weekday rentals after night one: $1,999.00

Veranda or Dining Room Rentals begin at:

Weekend: Friday & Saturday $129.00 / hour
Weekday: Monday-Thursday $99 / hour

Events are not available on Sundays at the Castle unless you’ve rented the entire facility for Saturday and Sunday. In which case, Sunday is half of the Saturday price. Staff and catering services are not available on Sundays.

See more information on both types of rentals available at:

Happy, Happy Easter

I hope you’re able to enjoy this wonderful Holiday and begin the coming week rejuvenated and at peace with the world. May you be filled with love. 💖

For those not celebrating, I hope your weekend is special in its own way and that you’re able to begin the week with new energy and excitement for life. 🕊

Isn’t life beautiful? We all have challenges, but we also have each other. I’m so grateful for that, especially during this season of renewal and grace. Thanks to each of you for brightening my life. 🌞🌟

Happy Easter!💕

I Truly Can’t Help Myself

March 30th, 2018 by castlecreek

I know I said I was going to control myself with the excessive Ultimate Romance Package photos, but just look at this adorable little Easter bunny! The owner got him special for the package because it was so close to Easter Sunday. I’m beside myself.

I don’t even use this phrase, but “You guys… I just can’t!”

Once I took his photo, I had to snap the rest of the package. After all, it’s set up in my favorite room and looks so amazing.

Sometimes I feel bad for giving Ivanhoe so much attention. It’s kind-of spoiled that way. But it gets away with it because it’s just so handsome. (I guess you could say Ivanhoe is like the Brad Pitt of Castle guest rooms. )

Anyway, I just saw that we have another Ultimate Romance Package on Saturday. Looks like we’re gonna have to find another adorable bunny!

An Amazing Woman

March 30th, 2018 by castlecreek

Here is a post from the amazing woman who is hosting the Women’s Support Retreat on April 10th. I tell you what, I know a lot of incredible people, but Heidi really stands out! She has dedicated so much of her time to comforting and helping women who have suffered the pain of pregnancy loss and infertility. I can’t wait to have you meet her in April. I’m so grateful to know her and have the Castle be involved in some of the wonderful work she does. Isn’t it great to know the world is filled with selfless people who truly care about others? 🌺

“For those of you who don’t know, I started a non-profit organization called Footprints in My Heart. It’s to help those struggling with infertility and those whohave suffered a loss of their baby any time during pregnancy.

We send care packages to couples experiencing any of these tragedies, and recently organized a support group for any woman or man who is going through this and wants the support of others who are, too. I know that everyone has their own experience, and they are not exactly the same, but I think we can still relate to each other with what we are going through and help each other.

Since April is infertility awareness month, the support group is having an event for women. It will be held April 10th at Castle Creek Inn. We are inviting all those struggling with infertility and those suffering a loss while they were pregnant to come together and have a girls support night. There will be a dinner, a few speakers, and then time to ask/answer questions and get to knows others that you can connect with.

Please share this with anyone who could benefit from a support night out!

I’m still finishing my website but it should be available before the support night. I’ll keep people updated as it gets finished so they can go on and get a package sent to them or get updates on support group events.”

Can’t Get Enough!

March 30th, 2018 by castlecreek

I’m so in love with the Ultimate Romance Package. I really have to control myself to keep from posting a hundred pictures every time I set one up. But I can’t help it this time. It just turned out too beautiful in this room!😍💟🌷

Sleep with the Angels

March 30th, 2018 by castlecreek

I lived in Brazil for several years (which is also where I met my amazing husband whom many of you know from staying here at the Castle). At night, it’s common for Brazilians to say to each other, “Dorme com os anjos,” which means “Sleep with the angels.” At first, I thought it was extremely cheesy and didn’t feel comfortable saying it back. But as I got to know their culture better, I realized it was said with absolute sincerity and kindness. Now, at night, when I turn the lobby lights off, and see the glow of this little angel’s candle, I hope our guests are having a heavenly night. So, to everybody staying at the Castle tonight, and to all our wonderful Facebook friends: Sleep with the angels!💖😇🌟

Tea Party Update

March 23rd, 2018 by castlecreek

Tea Party update!

I don’t have all the details yet, but I did want to give you a heads up. Our Castle Tea Party will be held either Tuesday, April 24th or Wednesday, April 25th. From the response so far, we may be holding more than one!🏰🍰

Grandparents are invited to bring your grandkids on a fun, fancy date! Parents, or aunts & uncles are also invited. We know families come in all shapes and sizes, and all are welcome!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 It will be formal dress; come ready to have your picture taken like royalty!👑💍💎

Speaking of royalty, I heard the Princess of the Castle will be making a special appearance to greet her guests and pose for photos. She may be accompanied by other members of our royal family.💃

I’m so excited! Stay tuned for more details and info on where and how to obtain your ticket to the party!🎈🎉🎫

New Decorations

March 23rd, 2018 by castlecreek

I love this new floral decoration for Rapunzel’s Tower. 💖

Shout out to Taiwan Imports where the gorgeous vase was found. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend you just go walk through. It’s such an amazing place! Just terrific!👍👌👏

Breakfast To-Go

March 23rd, 2018 by castlecreek

Whenever a guest has to leave before breakfast, we pack up some of our delicious glazed poppy seed bread, fresh fruit, and a breakfast juice for the road. It’s all finger food so it’s easy to eat on the run! I just made these up for a couple guests to take with them in the morning and realized I’ve never really mentioned the to-go breakfast option on social media. I love fruit so this looks more like my typical breakfast than does the regular Castle breakfast. What do you eat for breakfast when you’re not at the Castle?
